Sugai Ken came to perform at les ateliers claus early April 2018 to present his 5th studio album called UkabazUmerezU. The album title could be translated as 'slow and steady wins the race'. Sugai's reference for traditional folklore becomes an intimate, liminal ceremony of interpretative music and an invitation for the open mind to wander a wild nighttime with curious characters and strange, serene sounds.

Great guitar-playing: MC still sounds “like two exceptionally good guitarists playing at once”, as someone said 50 years ago. ‘Shuffleboat’ always a genius song - the pared-back acoustic version has a wonderful understated melancholy. florestan1
