After the amazing UkabazUmorezU = 不浮不埋 LP on RVNG intl. and his latest release てれんてくだ Tele-N-Tech-Da on Discrepant, the Kanagawa-based artist Sugai Ken returns with an 8-track album, mixing local tradition and contemporary sounds.

As a rough translation of the title says (岩石考 -yOrUkOrU- - Remarks on Rock) and according to the artist’ statement, the protagonists of this work are stones in their different ways and narratives. Like in his previous albums Ken uses a language both oneiric and realistic, shaping an immersive and vivid landscape where the listener can float on.

(though anglo saxon colonizers are not unique.) so many pop stars and hip hop billboard mainstays trumpet u.s. capitalism ad nauseam; or escapism & distraction. "Don't Die," also powerful.
